Kim started her artistic career exhibiting still life work featuring chiaroscurist images of food involving jam. This was before she signed (briefly) to a major art publisher through which her name became synonymous with paintings of explosively fluffy-looking cats and other humorous animals. In a nostalgic return to her beginnings, while she continues to paint furry and feathery creatures, Kim has recently painted a new series of 'jam' paintings, including dramatic Jammie Dodgers, visceral doughnuts and moody sandwiches. She hopes you enjoy them, but please don't lick them.
Kim was born in Hitchin and now lives in Bedfordshire with her partner and young son.
